Head of Print / Partner
Emmett James has over 25 years of creative film, print and television marketing experience under his belt. In his current role at bpg, James oversees all of the agency’s print and consumer marketing campaigns for TV and Theatrical. He is responsible for his network clients’ branding, as well as myriad key art and print marketing initiatives from ideation to implementation.
James began his career over two decades ago at Saatchi & Saatchi in London, jumping in as a copywriter & art director and learning his trade in the high-pressure world of corporate advertising. Discovering his passion was in entertainment, he followed Saatchi with a stint at Assorted Images designing iconic album cover artwork while working under legendary designers Malcolm Garrett (Duran Duran, Culture Club, Simple Minds) and Jamie Reid (Sex Pistols).
After a year-long stint working at Feref, London’s premiere entertainment marketing firm, James accepted an opportunity to help conceptualize and launch what would become London’s biggest post/graphic/production house. LipSync began its humble operations in one room and quickly grew into an entertainment powerhouse. Making the leap across the pond in the 90s, James crafted his American advertising sensibilities working at Seiniger, The Cimmaron Group and Ignition before joining bpg as a partner in the agency, rebuilding their Print & Marketing Department from the ground up. Here he has grown a reputation in the industry as a boundary pusher with his provocative visuals.
